In the fall of 2013 I returned to my teaching roots as a 7th grade World Geography at Wilson Middle School in Natick, MA. For the previous two years I served as an Instructional Technology Specialist at Wilson, teaching courses on Technology Literacy, Digital Media Creation and Digital Citizenship, while also working to integrate technology into the strong school curriculum.
When teaching isn’t keeping me busy enough, I am proud to dedicate my
energy to the EdCamp world as a member of the EdCamp Boston and EdCamp BLC organizing teams. This year I also became a USC Shoah Teacher Innovator and a Discovery Ed Star teacher. And last, but certainly not least, I am the mom of three great kids who challenge me daily to be a better mom, a better educator and a better person.
As many have said, we need to educate our students for their future, not ours, and certainly not the past. This is an exciting time to be an educator.
