About Me

In the fall of 2013 I returned to my teaching roots as a 7th grade World Geography at Wilson Middle School in Natick, MA. For the previous two years I served as an WP_20160130_23_35_25_Pro (2) (3)Instructional Technology Specialist at Wilson, teaching courses on Technology Literacy, Digital Media Creation and Digital Citizenship, while also working to integrate technology into the strong school curriculum.

When teaching isn’t keeping me busy enough, I am proud to dedicate my
energy to the EdCamp world as a member of the EdCamp Boston and EdCamp BLC organizing teams. This year I also became a USC Shoah Teacher Innovator and a Discovery Ed Star teacher. And last, but certainly not least, I am the mom of three great kids who challenge me daily to be a better mom, a better educator and a better person.

As many have said, we need to educate our students for their future, not ours, and certainly not the past. This is an exciting time to be an educator.

  1. Hi Tracy, My name is Tania Lee. I’m an educator and instructional technologist at Lasell College in Newton , MA. It was my first time at an edcamp last year and I loved the event! I went to two – Edcamp Boston and Edcamp Lesley. I’ve been telling my colleagues about edcamp, and this year one of them would like to go to edcamp HGSE and edcamp Boston (if we are lucky to get a spot). I know that the session topics are usually set up on the day of but my colleague and I would like to plan a session and are wondering how we could go about offering it (even if it doesn’t make it to the board or not?) It’d be a simple show and tell. Projector would be nice but is optional. I could also be contacted at my email, taniashlee@yahoo.com. I look forward to your ideas. Thank you. Kind regards,
    Tania Lee

    • Hi Tania! Wow…I am very late on getting back to you. As you can tell, I don’t check this very often! I hope that you were able to register for Edcamp Boston 2016! Would love to connect.
